What is recorded here
On a NW-facing slope in pasture. A raised subrectangular area (c. 41m E-W; c. 38m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.4m) from E-S-ENE and by a low bank of earth and stone (H 0.3-0.4m) from ENE-E, and a wide shallow fosse (Wth 2.6-5.6m; D 0.5m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded an outer bank; it has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary at W. Elsewhere it has been levelled. A wide break (Wth 6m) in the bank at ENE may mark the original entrance. There is a possible house site (LF019-038002-) within the interior at E.
