Detached eleven-bay three-storey mill, built c. 1810, having higher and slightly-recessed two-bay three-storey block attached to south, in turn having multiple-bay single-storey addition to south end of latter, and remains of extension to north end. Slate roof, half-hipped to north end and pitched and abutting addition to south end, with brick eaves course. Rubble limestone walls with dressed quoins. Square-headed window openings having brick surrounds and timber battened fittings. Square-headed door openings with brick relieving arches, brick jambs and timber battened doors. Six-bay four-storey ancillary building to north, roofless, with rendered walls and square-headed openings. Roofless five-storey block to north end, with four-bay three-storey block at right angles, continued by L-plan three-bay two-storey former miller's house having hipped slate roof. Latter blocks have raised render quoins. Remains of millrace and cut limestone wheel pit to west.

This mill, which forms part of a large industrial complex, serves as a physical reminder of the industrial and social history of the area. The survival of the mill race and wheel pit are important as they provided the power sources employed to drive the mill. The mill is a local landmark in the area.
