Detached two-bay two-storey former threshing mill, built c. 1850, now in use as storage with remains of former flax mill, built c. 1820, to south. Pitched slate roof, blue-black clay ridge tiles, projecting stone eaves, modern rainwater goods. Random rubble stone walls with remains of iron and timber water wheel. Square-headed window opening with timber lintel, surmounted by segmental-headed relieving brick arch to south opening, flag stone sill to east window opening. Square-headed door openings, one with red brick surrounds, with timber lintels and red brick relieving arches. Inside, water wheel mechanism set into dressed rubble stone elliptical arch, threshing mechanism to first floor. Set into natural slope with millrace to south.

Set in a field, this modest former threshing mill is relatively well preserved. The retention of its water wheel and the threshing mechanism adds to its technical significance. The remains of the flax mill sharing the same water wheel are integral to the unity of the mill complex. Originally belonging to a nearby farm, the complex is an important reminder of a disappearing industrial heritage linked with the life of rural communities.
