Freestanding triangular-profile limestone milestone, erected c. 1870, having inscribed lettering and chamfered cap. Milestone reads: 'Limerick 23 / Foynes 1 / Loughill 4'.
This simple piece of masonry served an important practical function in the days when signposts were rare. It is well maintained and is a significant survival of street furniture.
