What is recorded here

According to McCracken (1957, 128), there was a charcoal-burning ironworks at Coomhola which was worked 'originally by Whites' and owned in 1701 by '...a Mr. Wallis.' Coomhola is in the townland of Cooryleary. The exact location of this metalworking site is unknown. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
