Megalithic structure in Ballycullane Upper — Report the wrong picture

In a plantation of coniferous trees. There is now no evident surface trace of the 'dolmen' excavated in 1935 by T.F. Riley on behalf of National Museum of Ireland after a polished stone axe was found 'inside the dolmen' by local school children. According to the excavator 'the most careful searching failed to reveal any trace of either artefact or skeletal material' (NMI). The sketch accompanying this report shows a capstone (gable-shaped in plan: c. 1.5m x c. 1.7m) supported along its edge by seven irregularly placed uprights. The report also mentions another 'dolmen' (LI017-034---), a 'mound' (LI017-035---) and a 'pillar stone' (LI017-036---) in the vicinity.
