Kilmurrily lost its ring fort to the plough, erasing the earth bank that once stood northeast of the church. The fairies kept their fort hidden in local memory even after human tools levelled the site. What remains is a absent shape, an empty circle in the field where the boundary between worlds became indistinguishable from ordinary soil.

This univallate rath was situated NE of Kilmurrily Church (KE003-029----). The site was ploughed, however, and no surface trace can be seen today. The above description is derived from C.
