Gothic style monument, c. 1865, c. 20 feet high of dressed limestone with decorative tiles and plaques depicting people and events associated with the MacCarthy family; designed by William Atkins.
Highly decorative and unusual late nineteenth-century monument, with striking use of materials and form. Given greater significance by the fact that it is known to have been designed by William Atkins.
