Proleek underground passage cuts through solid ground beside a ringfort, testifying that people shaped the earth rather than waiting for rain to do it. The entrance has closed, but the act of digging remains visible in the land's memory. Perhaps residents sought dry storage, escape during storms, or a private route past watching neighbours. The passage no longer answers knocks, yet it still belongs to human ambition and local ingenuity.
