Man-made underground passage in Glebe (ferrard By., Rathdrummin Par.)

Glebe in Rathdrummin Parish, County Louth, still carries a local story of a hidden cave beneath the graveyard, though no permanent entrance now appears in the living land. The claim is that people once cut or found an underground passage there, perhaps for worship, refuge or the disposal of what must not be seen. Whatever its purpose, the earth has taken it back, leaving only memory and the risk of opening a dead hole in a place where the dead already rest.
