Derreeny holds a narrow underground chamber beside its ringfort, revealing itself through a shallow depression in the earth. The passage runs east-northeast beyond reach, preserving the shape and intention of the people who dug it. It is the kind of hidden work that suggests hurry, fear or secret purpose, while withholding the story that caused it.

Depression (L 1.05m; Wth 0.65m; D 1m) in E half ringfort (CO132-049---) reveals chamber running ENE. Access not gained.
