In an E-W valley. A single-arched bridge (span 6m) with the arch springing 1.4m over the bed of a stream. The voussoirs are undressed and the arch may have been repointed. The parapet has some cut limestone. Although there are no indications that this bridge is medieval it is cited in the OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1928, vol. 1, 44) as the Bridge of Lochaid and the placename was apparently mentioned in the Annals of the Four Masters in the year 1564.
