What is recorded here
Liscaheragh is a fairy fort in County Cork, a circular earth and stone ring on a south-facing pasture slope. Its bank rises one metre, topped by a stone wall from southeast to north, enclosing a space where an underground passage may still breathe. People once grazed animals above it or walked past without knowing what slept beneath. The fort does not demand belief, but it does not release you unchanged.
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (26m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (H 1m), topped by stone wall SE->N. Possible Man-made underground passage (CO119-099---) in interior.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Liscaheragh is a circular fairy fort (ringfort/rath) likely dating to the early medieval period, characterized by an earth and stone bank with a stone wall on the SE–N side. Local folklore may associate it with supernatural or fairy activity, as suggested by its classification as a fairy fort, though specific traditions are not recorded.
