What is recorded here

Located at the S end of a low hillock on the floor of a N-S valley with a canalised N-S stream c. 50m to the E. This rath is described as ‘Lisataggart’ from Lios an Saggart – the Priest’s Lios – on the OS 6-inch maps. It is a raised oval area (dims 26m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 7-8m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 2-2.8m) NNW-E-SSW and a scarp elsewhere. There is no visible fosse and an original entrance is not identified. It has become overgrown since 1969 (Digitalmap). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
