The NW turret of the fortified house (ME011-006----) is built partly on the W wall of a bawn that extended to the N and E of the original house. Gun-loops in this turret covered the W walls of the house and the bawn. Only this W wall of the bawn is partly preserved in the N wing added to the house, with a single light at the ground floor. This is a monument in state ownership: No. 256.
