Freestanding square-plan cut sandstone built limekiln, built c. 1800, buttressed to south and north elevations. Now disused. Round-headed arch having cut sandstone voussoirs. Round-headed blind arches within.
This lime kiln is a physical reminder of industrial activity in the area. It forms an integral part of the local architectural heritage.
