What is recorded here

Kinahan (1879-88, 157) describes what was known locally as 'The Quaker's Hollow' on a NE-facing slope at Cummerduff, which is probably a kiln. It was a circular stone-lined pit (diam. c. 2m) within a mound (diam. c. 5m) with a stone-lined passage (L c. 6.25m) extending W from it. Its precise location is not known, but it was on NE-facing slope in Cummerduff. The enclosure (WX002-046----) was immediately to the SW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 1 February, 2012
