What is recorded here

Killacken is a disused burial ground in County Cork, Ireland, where human remains once rested before the earth was levelled and its stones dumped against the inner north bank of the enclosure. The site sits on a south-facing pasture slope, marked on maps from 1842 and 1902 as a circular area within a larger boundary. What was sacred became pasture, what was buried became visible, and the dead were moved aside to make room for living use.
