Single-span humpback road bridge, built c.1780, spanning River Bride. Segmental-headed arch with rusticated and margined limestone voussoirs and rendered soffit. Snecked rusticated limestone spandrels and parapet walls with solider capping. Projecting V-profile pedestrian refuge to east elevation.
A finely constructed bridge of high quality design and detailing. The combination of dressed and rubble limestone construction provides textural variation. The pedestrian refuge is an interesting and essential provision on this narrow bridge.
