Gateway, c.1825, comprising pair of limestone ashlar panelled piers with segmental capping having foliate motif, iron double gates, iron flanking pedestrian gates, limestone ashlar panelled outer piers having cut-limestone capping, and random rubble limestone boundary wall to perimeter of site having cut-limestone coping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Kilcoran House.
A pleasantly-composed finely-detailed gateway displaying high quality stone masonry forming an appealing feature at the entrance to the grounds of the Kilcoran House estate having historic connections with the Baker and the de Montmorency families.
