Kilbeg Castle vanished so completely that only a slight rectangular rise and shallow ditches remain visible through pasture grass. What is left suggests a small fortified house rather than a grand castle, perhaps occupied by a local family who watched the slope and waited for danger. The land has taken most of it back, leaving behind a shape just large enough to imagine rooms, doors and lights inside.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. No structure survives. Subrectangular raised area (18.8m E-W; 18.6m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.55m); wide shallow fosse to E and W (D 0.6m).
