Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1860, now also in use as public house. Hipped slate roof with central rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls with render quoins. Render shopfront with pilasters flanking openings supporting fascia. Timber panelled double doors. Render dressings over openings. Stone outbuildings with pitched corrugated-iron roofs to rear.

This house makes a positive contribution to the streetscape in Summerhill. The modest form of the house is enhanced by the render shopfront, which is an interesting addition. The related outbuildings to the rear contribute to the setting of the house.
