Inscribed on the stone behind the Brinny corn mill is the phrase “To the prosperity of Nash 1776 D.H. Bulle.” The stone was removed from Brinny house when that house was demolished in 1982. It may have marked a gift, a bargain or a proud wish made by one neighbour for another.

To the rear of a corn mill (CO096-056001-) is an inscribed stone with the following inscription: 'To the prosperity of Nash 1776 D.H. Bulle' . The stone was removed from Brinny house, which stood immediately to SE, during its demolition in 1982. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
