What is recorded here
Inishcoe Castle in ruins stands in County Mayo, Ireland. The ruined castle may have housed a family, guarded a coast road or marked a boundary before decay took it. Its missing details do not weaken it; they remove the risk of inventing a false life. What is known is that the castle exists in ruin, in County Mayo, and the story must remain equal to that much fact.
