What is recorded here
Indicated is a lost fairy fort in County Longford, visible only on an 1837 map and hidden beneath well-drained pasture. It may have been a boundary marker, a childhood game, or a warning about what the land remembers. The absence is the shape: a circle drawn in ink, not earth.
In well-drained pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Not visible at ground level.
