What is recorded here

Situated close to the E side of the top of a N-S ridge. Depicted as an oval enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map and on the 1913 edition as a broadly oval hachured enclosure (c. 27m E–W; c. 25m N–S), incorporated into a field boundary at W. This monument has been levelled. Remains comprise a slightly raised D-shaped area (24m N–S), with the straight side, at W, formed by a N-S field boundary. There is ephemeral evidence for an outer fosse (Wth 3-3.5m) at N and S. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
