What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle SW-facing slope, overlooking valley of Argideen river. Large sub-circular enclosure (diam. c. 200m) with Kilskinahan church (CO123-031002-) and graveyard (CO123-031003-) at centre. Greater portion of enclosure levelled c. 1975 but short sections of bank survive to NW, S and ESE. Best preserved section to NNE; bank (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 2.1m) with external fosse (D 0.9m). Laneway links church with road to NNW and E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
