What is recorded here
Marked as a rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 40m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a shelf on a gentle SW-facing slope. This is a rectangular, grass-covered area (dims 31m NW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by low, widely-spread banks and external flat-bottomed silted moats (Wth 11m; ext. D 0.5m).
