What is recorded here
Situated in an area of dense growth within a conifer plantation on old parkland associated with Drumhierny Lodge, which had been laid out by P. Latouche and was worthy of note (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 214). This feature is indicated as a circular copse (diam. c. 25m) on the 1835 and 1911 editions of the OS 6-inch map. No feature is visible at ground level in woodland.
