
What is recorded here
At the top of a long, gentle, W-facing slope, in tillage. A fairly poorly preserved, repeatedly ploughed-over (SMR file) sub circular-shaped area (int. diams. 49m E-W; 42m N-S) is defined by a broad, inner earthen bank (Wth 7m; ext H 1.7m) with a possible entrance gap at E, and by a wide outer fosse (Wth. 7m; D 0.8m) which is overlain by a modern field bank along the S.
Cropmarks visible on Google Earth aerial imagery dating 28/06/2018 has recently indicated that this monument was a trivallate ringfort (overall ext. diam. 86m).
