Grave Yard in County Kildare holds a medieval church inside an almost square stone wall, c. 66m on each side, just 40m SE of a fine motte. Burials recorded from 1683 suggest the ground has gathered deaths for centuries, perhaps longer before names were written. The wall does not exclude the living; it marks the distance between ordinary road life and the patience of dead fields.
