Marked as a circular wooded enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on the 1914 ed. Situated on the S-facing slope of a broad E-W drumlin. Described as an oval area (dims 33m E-W; 23m N-S) defined by an earthen bank and outer fosse (Gannon 1972). It is no longer visible at ground level in pasture.
