Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Castletown, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies level pasture as a slightly raised circular area twenty-three metres north-south and twenty-two metres east-west. A six-metre-wide earth bank rises seventy centimetres internally around the centre. Two relic field banks touch the outside at the northwest and southeast, while no entrance or ditch remains visible.
Situated in level pasture. Slightly raised roughly circular area (23m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by a bank of earth (Wth 6.25m; int. H 0.70m). No fosse is visible at ground level. The original entrance to the site is not recognisable. Two portions of relic field bank (each measures L 5m; H 1m) abut the external face of the bank at NW and at SE.
