Indicated

Well

What is recorded here

Indicated is the remains of a well beside Castlebrack in County Laois, perhaps medieval, still marking the edge of a lived estate. It is the kind of place where water was drawn for kitchens, gardens and feasts, and forgetfulness began only later.
Remains of a well located 73m to the SE of the castle (LA001-004001-) at Castlebrack which may be medieval in date. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 17 December 2007
