What is recorded here

Indicated is a substantial oval stone ringfort in County Cavan, preserving a wide western entrance and walls tall enough to suggest real defensive ambition. It belongs to the ancient landscape where human hands shaped stone before written memory arrived. The fort may have housed families, stored grain or marked territorial pride, yet its true purpose has faded into the green silence of Cavan.

Raised oval area (int. dims. 35.4m ENE-WSW; 30.5m NNW-SSE) enclosed by a well-preserved substantial drystone wall. Wide gap at WNW probably represents original entrance.
