What is recorded here

Known as 'The Relic Field' (local information) this is traditionally believed to be the site of an ancient burial ground. A number of bones are said to have been found at the Rag River, 210m W of the reputed burial ground. (ITA Survey 1941; Davies 1948, 94) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
