What is recorded here

Located on the SE-facing slope of a drumlin, this monument was covered in field spoil and generally overgrown in 1991. It is depicted as a D-shaped enclosure on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a hachured D-shaped feature (dims c. 30m E-W; c. 25-30m N-S) backing on to a straight field bank at W on the 1945 revision of the map. No archaeological feature could be identified at ground level, but it is probably a rath. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.
