What is recorded here

On level, wet, rushy pasture. A poorly preserved circular area (int. diam. 53m) is defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 1.9m at S-4.6m at W; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 0.5m) SE-W-NE, which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) along the E, and by a shallow wet, rush-filled, outer fosse (Wth. 2m at S- 5m at W) SE-W-NW. A heavily poached gap (Wth 2m) at NW may be the original entrance. The level interior is wet and rush-covered. Although the siting is atypical, the morphology suggests it is a ringfort.
