Located on top of high ground in upland area. Circular area (30m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) with external fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.5m) with causewayed entrance at NE. Entrance impossible to measure due to dense overgrowth. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
