What is recorded here
Excavated in advance of proposed development (Licence no. 10E0010) the house was circular in plan (c.5m diam.) and defined by a series of eight postholes. A curvilinear slot trench (11m x 0.5m) was located to the S of the postholes. A possible hearth and two pits were located within the interior. Radiocarbon dating of alder charcoal from the hearth returned a calibrated date of 1020-830 BC indicating Late Bronze Age activity (Long 2010, 16).
