The remains of an irregular-shaped kiln were excavated in advance of a proposed development (Licence no. 10E0010). The kiln was earth cut and sub-rectangular in plan. Abundant wheat, occasional oat and weeds were identified from the charred plant assemblage. The kiln was radiocarbon dated to 1270-1400 cal. AD (Long 2010, 52).
