What is recorded here

Detached five-bay single-storey house, c.1860. Roughcast rendered walls. Timber casement windows and timber door. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimney stack. Single-storey extension to west. Iron bar gate set into partially rendered rubble gate piers.
A modest house retaining its original proportions. Its presence on this road is a valuable reminder of the former rural character of the area, which is now becoming increasingly suburbanised.

Veronica Guerin memorialMemorial · 282 yd

Explorer Tom The Veronica Guerin memorial in County Dublin is right there in the Dubhlinn Gardens, looking very determined about getting her message across. It’s a bit of a double entry for us, but she deserves the extra attention. Tell her Tom said hi!

Inscribed stone in Brideswell CommonsInscribed stone · 691 ydTom: I’m here to help · Computer-made picture. It does not show this monument.

Explorer Tom Inscribed stone in Brideswell Commons used to have words on it, but they’ve vanished like my motivation on a Monday. It’s just a slab now, hiding the scandal of its own unreadability. Give it a pat on the way past, it's had a long life.

Children's burial ground in Brideswell CommonsChildren's burial ground · 692 ydTom: I’m here to help · Computer-made picture. It does not show this monument.

Explorer Tom Children's burial ground in Brideswell Commons was near St. Brigid's well for unbaptised kids. It was a mound enclosed by a ditch. Sounds spooky, but probably just a very specific parking space now. Keep your voice down!

Corkagh DemesneMemorial · 818 yd

Explorer Tom Corkagh Demesne in County Dublin is hiding in plain sight as a memorial. It’s probably got some lovely trees and a bit of mystery about it. Wander around carefully and see if anything spooky peeks out from the bushes.

South Dublin County CouncilChildren's playground · 887 ydTom: I’m here to help · Computer-made picture. It does not show this playground.

Explorer Tom South Dublin County Council in County Dublin is a playground? Sure, why not! Bureaucrats love to swing around their own mistakes. It's accessible, so go see if any officials are hiding under the slide.

Mooreen HouseCountry house · 929 yd

Explorer Tom Mooreen House in Mooreenaruggan was built in 1936 with a bowed entrance breakfront that looks very grand. It’s got a pantile roof and sits beautifully in a garden. See if you can spot the foundation stone on the corner!

The CottagesOutbuilding · 980 yd

Explorer Tom The Cottages in Clondalkin are converted farm buildings that still think they’re in the countryside. They’ve got a cylindrical gate pier that’s peculiarly local, like a funny accent. Rinse your mouth out before speaking to them politely.

Rose GardenGarden · 1085 ydTom: I’m here to help · Computer-made picture. It does not show this garden.

Explorer Tom Another Rose Garden in County Dublin? They must run out of ideas after three. I bet the soil here is made entirely of old gossip and bad decisions.

Fairy WoodWood · 1199 yd

Explorer Tom Fairy Wood in County Dublin is carpeted with bluebells, according to my file. Sounds like a fairy's living room. If they're there, tell them Tom says hi, not that I'm superstitious.

CastleCastle, unclassified · 1463 yd

Explorer Tom Castle in Clondalkin is Tully’s Castle, a narrow 16th-century tower with crenellations right on Monastery Road. It’s in state care, so it’s basically a celebrity that can’t leave the house. Ring your granny and tell her where you are before she worries about the round tower.

The Round TowerVisitor information · 1490 yd

Explorer Tom The Round Tower in Clondalkin is 84 feet high and has original stairs. It's been a refuge since the 10th century. Grab a photo of the top for me!

Explorer Tom Bawn in Cheeverstown, County Dublin has slight traces of a wall and a well according to a 1897 book. There are no visible remains now, but the pub nearby might have some stories if you ask nicely over a pint.
