Near St. Brigid's well in Brideswell Commons, a ditched earth mound held unbaptised children excluded from sacred ground. The boundary marked both protection and rejection, forcing the community to bury its smallest losses outside formal worship. That separation still shadows the place, turning soil and memory into a chamber where love and doctrine collided.

According to Ua O'Broin (1944, 199) there was a burial place for unbaptised children located near St. Brigid's well which comprised a mound of earth enclosed by a ditch. Compiled by Geraldine Stout

A Neolithic or early Christian burial site, possibly a cairn or ring barrow, associated with St. Brigid's well; it reflects local traditions of burying unbaptised children and the spiritual significance of holy wells in early Christian Ireland.
