Corner-sited attached L-plan two-bay two-storey house, dated 1854, with timber pubfronts to ground floor of front elevation and north gable. Now also in use as pub. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted ruled and lined rendered walls with render quoins and plinth course. Render lettering and panel with lettering to north gable. Square-headed window openings throughout with timber sliding sash windows with painted stone sills, six-over-six pane to front elevation and north gable, and two-over-two pane one a double window to rest of north elevation. Timber shopfront to front elevation comprising timber pilasters with caps and fascia, square-headed plate glass display window with timber sill and cast-iron protective railing, and square-headed door opening with timber panelled double-leaf door. Shopfront to north gable has timber pilasters having caps and fascia flanking replacement timber display window to one end with timber sill and cast-iron protective railing, and square-headed door opening to other end with timber panelled double-leaf doors.

This building occupies a prominent site opposite Mallow Bridge and on a corner site. Its modest size is typical of town houses of its era and its façade is enhanced by features such as the shopfronts and lettering, which add artistic interest and context to the site. The timber sash windows and slate roof are other notable features.
