Referred to as 'Knockatubber well' and St. Bridget is suppose to have visited it (IFC Schools' Mss 674, 60-61). According to local tradition it was used to cure diabetes. (SMR file). Situated on a lane which was once the main Dublin-Belfast Road (IFC Schools' Mss 674, 60-61). Not possible to locate when inspected by ASI in 1967. Linked to St. Brigid, the well is traditionally believed to have been visited by the saint and is associated with a cure for diabetes. Local folklore highlights its sacred status and healing properties, though specific historical records remain sparse.
