An isolated modernised 'holy well' on level ground at the base of a rocky slope. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. Linked to Saint Torrisson, this holy well is associated with healing traditions, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general wellness. Local folklore suggests that the well’s waters were once used in seasonal rituals and that offerings such as coins and ribbons are left by visitors seeking divine intercession.
