Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c.1850, now disused. Comprising cylindrical shaft with raised horizontal banding. Fluted upper section with spout, head and fluted ogee-domed cap with finial. Cow tail style handle. Pump set back from road, raised on concrete platform and bounded by random coursed stone wall, which curves to rear.

This water pump is of social and technical interest, dating to a period before mains water supply. The pump is attractively sited on the side of the road and is of artistic interest, having been conceived as an aesthetic as well as functional object.
