What is recorded here
Detached multiple-bay two-storey former country house, c.1700, now in use as golf clubhouse. Roughcast rendered walls with round- and square-headed window openings, some retaining mid nineteenth-century timber sash windows. Hipped artificial slate roof behind parapet having stone coping. Octagonal projection to east end, and various other nineteenth- and twentieth-century extensions and alterations.
Although considerably altered, this house retains some of its early eighteenth-century fabric as well as its picturesque riverside setting, now in the form of a golf course.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
