Graveslab in Yellowbatter

There is a portion of a large granite memorial slab with a date of 1613 lying on the ground immediately to the S of the standing church remains (LH024-030001-). It has a cross with a stepped base and crosslets on the arms. There is a skull and cross- bones in each of the upper angles of the cross, and scrolls and triangles near its broken base. There is lettering and the date around the remaining margin of the slab. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991).
