Graveslab in Threecastles, County Kilkenny: a broken graveyard marker whose remaining end still carries an incised floriated cross, likely from the 13th or 14th century. It lies in the Threecastles graveyard, small enough to be overlooked yet old enough to have watched fields, roads and memories change. What is missing may have recorded a name, a family or a warning; the surviving cross suggests the stone was made to be seen, remembered and honored.
